Happy Inktober Fest everyone!
My challenge uses one of stamping's most basic techniques--Masking (surprised?)
Using both regular & mortise masking, you just need to create a pumpkin. Simple, right?! ;D
Just make a positive & negative oval mask. Then use them to build your gourd. You must use stamping, but otherwise, you can go as crazy as you want.
My sample is very simple, but I plan to do some others which will get a bit more complex--but not more difficult.
Use Ink 19 MP to ID for this challenge. Post it to our gallery & link it here, please.
Your pumpkin(s) do mot have to be used in a piece, but that's up to you.
I don't mind if you combine it with another challenge--if allowed.
Have fun... #>

This looks like so much fun! Wonderful challenge, and thanks for hosting!
-
Thanks Daniel. You are the master of masking! Great way to build a pumpkin! I definitely want to give it a try.
-
like what you used to stamp it, neat idea

Daniel, when I looked at your example again, I realized how much your flower stamp looks like the blossom of a pumpkin plant!
Here is my entry. This was fun. If i did it again I would use small stamps to fill it instead of background stamps. But I did use all stamps that I hadn’t used in a long time.

Your pumpkin is just great, Heidi! Thanks for playing.

I never get better at masking, very stressful. But I tried.
I was aiming at making it look like one of Michael Strongs design, like I used on 3 from 1 cards I made. I did cheat and fill in lines with marker where I had gaps from the masking. And I used colored paper.

Great Pumpkin, Yankee! Thanks for playing! O0

Thanks for the challenge, Daniel, as always, you challenge me!
I didn't get quite the definition I hoped for ... but I gave it a shot. I was going for the damask look I see in some home decor pumpkins.
I made a Thanksgiving card (http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=4662#top_display_media) .

Wonderful how adding just that back bit of oval makes your punkin a true globe. Love the Damask! Thanks for playing!

Well after throwing a few away that were not working I finally came up with this one that I am happy with. I think I just had a better day yesterday.

I can't take credit for the pumpkin "lobe" in the background. I got the idea from Yankee's pumpkin! I actually wish I put that lobe a little lower.
Connie, your pumpkin is so pretty! Love the lawn you created too.

I'm really enjoying how the patch is growing. Great job everyone!
I want to try doing a 'panorama' pumpkin.

I look forward to seeing that!

Here is my entry. For someone who does not like masking, I enjoyed this and it turned out better than I thought! Thanks for the challenge.
