Here are two of my cards.  The first one has the basic instructions for doing this type of watercoloring. (Jan asked me to share how I did it. Let me know if this makes sense.)

The variation some of us tried was the use a small Block, like a 1 inch square to apply the color in a random patch work instead of rows. 

That is what I did for this Christmas card I already posted earlier.
