Title: Getting Clean image when stamping.
Post by: Utah Ann on May 25, 2016, 02:21:12 PM
I have this really cute stamp of a coiled snake with a gooey look on his face.   I have tried several times to stamp him and I can not get a clear image yet.  I am about to release the snake into the wild.

Any suggestions on how to get a sharp image.

I am using Versafine  black ink.  Oh yes, it is a rubber stamp mounted on a wood block.    It is a Whipper Snapper Design MY842d Coiled Snake.  I have had some others that I could not get a clean image and have gotten rid of them, but I really like this one.

I have tried stamping on my desk, have put another block on top to had some weight, have tried using a mouse pad  and so now I am reaching out to my friend on this board.

Is there hope for this image?

I just tried a mouse pad under paper and used a brayer on top of the stamp.  Why didn't I think of that before.

Glad it seems you figured it out already!  Sounds like an interesting image to have in ones stash.

Now you must make a card with the snake and post it here! Would love to see it!
