Today is--of course--Halloween. For many tomorrow--November first--is an even more important celebration.
It is the Day of the Dead.
Families gather (sometimes in graveyards) to remember & visit with family members who have 'passed over'. They bring flowers (marigolds are very popular), as well as food--sweet cakes, wine & candy.
Bones are a feature of the celebration. Skeletons made from a variety of materials are created as scenes. Vendors sell decorated sugar skulls that are brightly decorated--almost like valentines--with hearts, flowers & fanciful patterns. Often they have names in icing so buyers can enjoy devouring their own cabassos.
For your DOTD piece(s) you must include some 'bones'. And you must use some non-sentiment stamping to decorate.
Here's a simple skull I drew & decorated with stamps. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Have fun.
