'dressing' your stamps?
« on: September 18, 2017, 01:14:25 PM »
I got a great bear stamp from April. It's perfect for adding hats & more as well as holding stuff. But doing that means doing masks & such. So... I'll be sharing ways I use & hoping y'all will do the same.

Although the pic isn't great I think u may see one way I approach dressing an image. It's like working with paper dolls. While these add-ons were drawn I'd use the same technique with stamped images.

FWIW.... I'll be adding tips about this topic soon. With IF in the offing it might just show up as a challenge. You never know.

This is an example of using just masking to redress an image.

I used a mask of the turtle's shell when inking the stamp.
Didn't have a house stamp so I drew it.

I like the way you changed the direction of the turtle's head on this one!  Someone just asked Lindsay (thefrugalcrafter) in a video comment to do something steam punk.  I think this turtle could be headed that way!  Very clever.  I really like the wheels on the snail too.
