Christmas All Year - June 2020
« on: June 02, 2020, 04:03:19 PM »
Oh boy ... this month's letter prompt is "Q"

I did a little googling and found these words for inspiration

quilt
quaint
quiet
quake
quality (time)

Can you think of any techniques that start with "Q"?

Let me know if you think we should add "R" this month.

Don't forget to upload your Christmas cards to the Christmas All Year album and link here.  Thanks for playing!

I thought of quilling and quote. I think we might be able to use Q.

Sounds good!  Use "Q" if you can, we'll save "R" for next time.

I am posting this here too because I was going for the look of a quilted background when making this

Thanks for linking Connie!  Your card does look quilted.  Great way to use the prompt.  It's a cheery card.

Love your quilted card, April!  Seems it would be harder with striped paper but your star turned out perfect!  That is such a cool cat in the center too.  This would be a wonderful layout with almost any image or sentiment in the center.  Thanks for using the "Q" prompt!

Here is a card!  I also made another very similar one with another background that was in similar colors but it wasn’t enough different to post.

I used one of my zoom backgrounds!

Your card is really sweet Heidi.  I love the colorful emboss resist background.  We had fun using your technique on Zoom.

I made 4 quilt cards for this challenge.

I uploaded one in the gallery here:
http://www.duhnproductions.com/Pics/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pid=5032#top_display_media

The other 3 are different but I didn’t want to overtake the gallery so if you are interested you can see them at my blog:  http://mylittlestampingblog.blogspot.com/2020/06/christmas-quilt-square-cards.html

I am only 8 cards behind for the year now from my goal.

Thanks for linking here, Connie.  They are both beautiful cards!

Heidi, good for you!  4 more cards done.  The quilt design is a great way to use your snowball images.  Pretty cards!

Thanks everyone for linking your cards here.

Let's see how many Christmas cards we can make in July.  I love Daria's annual challenge.  Hopefully I'll get inspired.
