Card Sketch Challenge (11/20-12/11)
« on: November 20, 2014, 09:01:08 AM »
Please follow the sketch and use stamping somewhere on your project.  Share in this gallery here and please also link it to this thread. You have 3 weeks to complete this. Hopefully the sketch will give you some inspiration to finish up a Christmas card or other project. You may combine.  Have fun!

Here is my entry:

Sketch was created a couple years ago on the Basic Grey blog and the original post can be found here.

I also included a photo of the sketch in the attachments.

Here's a card I made based off the sketch.
It was easy for me to figure out where to put embellishments and things!
One thing it did remind me of, I need to work on my bow tying skills. I think it took me longer to do that than anything else, lol!

Thanks, Heidi for the fun sketch :)

Great card, LeighAnn. I also have trouble with the type of cards with a lot of embellishments, so this type of card sketch is super helpful with that problem.  Thanks for taking the challenge!

Connie, I am a big believer in using the sketch as a starting point, but I have to say I never ever considered using this sketch flipped.  I am so glad that you did, though.  Your card is really pretty.

Daniel, if you aren't nice to Connie, will she post again??  (I can't find the emoticon with its tongue sticking out.)

Thanks so much for playing!!!

I know I don't play along much here, just feels like there isn't enough time in a day, but even though I almost gave Daniel a heart attack by playing along, I will probably do so again

I am note sure that this is the link:  If not hope someone will share with me how to link the upload to this file.

I took a little different approach to the sketch.  I just wasn't into stamped flowers  so did feathers and then stamped the sentiment.

I need to do more sketches, they are not my favorite, but there are so many of them out there.

I enjoyed getting back to doing a challenge.

Thanks for the challenge.

LOL, Connie! My heart's doing ok. I hearya on the 'time' issue, pal, but always love to see any Inkster 'playing along' as time & tide allow.

LOL, Heidi! See! I'm 'nice'!  ::) ('Course I'm still waiting for Santa'a judgement.)

My sketch entry is 99% complete. I want to re-check your sketch, 'tho. I think I want to tweak the piece just a tad. Fun challenge! TY, pal!

Ann. Love your take with the burlap & feathers.

Ann, your link worked perfectly and I love your card.  You did a great job with the sketch and ty for playing!

Daniel, I am glad you are working on it and will be interested in what you come up with.  This challenge officially goes through the 11th so there is still time for anyone who wants to play!
