"Color It In" Challenge #2 - Pencils (2/1-2/7)

It is time for another coloring challenge! 

After each fest, the gallery seems to go silent for a week or so.  I was hoping this fast and easy challenge will get us back into our craft areas for a few minutes this week.

This time, the coloring prompt to use is pencils without water.  So you can use any kind of pencil, but if you use watercolor pencils, please don't add water.  If you are using any regular pencil, you can blend with a blender pen or gamsol, etc. 

Challenge Guidelines
1) Stamp an image.
2) Use the prompt of which type of coloring supplies you will use.**
3) Post a photo of the colored image in the gallery and post the link here. You may, but do not have to, make a completed project with your colored image. (Gallery name is HowdyHeidi Color Challenges 2016)

**You do not need to buy anything new to participate in these challenges.  If you *absolutely* do not have the type of coloring medium for the challenge, please just play along with the coloring medium of your choice.

Your challenge got me coloring in January!  I finished one image in to a complete card and got 3 more of the same image colored and card ready.  I hope I can do the same in February.

I used Inktense pencils on Kraft paper to color this.  I needed some friend Valentines so I went ahead and made it into a simple card.

Can't wait to see what you guys color!  I have noticed that colored pencils seem to be making a comeback. I feel like I see more pencils than I do copics, but that might just be where I am looking...

Well, actually this week I colored quite a lot with my pencils.  I did two birds which I made into cards, I did 4 girls that I also made into cards, and I colored 4 Runway stamps with colored pencils.  Here are the Tim Holtz Runway stamps colored with Derwent colorsoft pencils.  Thank you for looking.

So it wasn't a problem with the foil to color with your pencils?

No it was no problem, I think it might be if you "scrubbed" too hard with your pencils but the Derwent colorsoft are pretty soft so there was no scrubbing.  The only paper that I have made the foil come off when doing something to it was the dimpled watercolor and I don't think that the foil sticks very good on those dimples.  I have also watercolored over the foiled images and had no problem except for the dimpled paper.

Thanks for the info, Sadie.  I actually have the Derwent Coloursoft pencils on my list.  For regular colored pencils, I have RoseArt, but I have Derwent watercolor pencils, metallic pencils and the Inktense and I am happy with all of those.
