Fairy in Teal and Peach
|
I colored the image with Copics and added stickles to the wings. The challenge I used was the watercolor dry emboss technique from Winterfest. I used the same Darice embossing folder that I did for the pink, yellow, orange card I did during Winterfest. This time I used Distress Ink in Peacock Feather, Dried Marigold and a pinch of Ripe Persimmon.
I had a bit of an oops moment when I was assembling the card. Before assembling, I had been adding fired brick Distress Ink to another project. I thought I had cleaned it all off my craft mat but when I flipped the fairy image after adding adhesive, I noticed small flecks of red all over it. Since I had a jar of gesso handy, I painted the white areas on the image to cover the red flecks.
I was planning on layering the two ribbons but it just wasn't working. I made the bows with my bow-it-all and added the flower to the small teal bow.
The image is by Kraftin Kimmie.
