INK16 Holiday Stylin-Birthday Card

I needed a birthday card for today so I started this challenge last weekend, I got it finished yesterday. I started with a black piece of cardstock and an embossing folder. Than I took a versamark ink pad and padded it over the top and then used off white embossing powder. I then cut an oval using a Tim Holtz die. I used a TIm Holtz background stamp to stamp behind the oval. I then cut a whole lot of gear dies out of this tinny self stick paper. I stuck those on inside the oval. They wouldn't stay very well so I used some brads on each of them to help hold them on. I stamped a truck on off white card stock using russet and soot black archival ink. I also used the black to stamp and cut the happy birthday banner using another Tim Holtz stamp and die. I glued the oval directly onto the card front. I pop dotted the birthday banner and the truck.

Thank you for looking.

I really enjoyed reading your process on how you made this. I thought the background was patterned paper. I love that background stamp! The tin gears and the embossed gears add a lot of great texture. Wonderful project!

So much to look at. I like the tinny gears. Great idea to attach them with brads. Wonderful rusty white truck too!
