Creative Play with dendritic monoprint

The background is made with the Blended Spray Ink on glossy cardstock Technique (challenge from Inktoberfest 16 Warm-up}. I misted glossy cardstock with water, Dylusions spray ink, Ranger’s biscotti perfect pearls mist and after dry added droplets of Heidi Swapp’s gold lame.

I dry embossed the background border with a Tim Holtz alterations folder and lightly sanded IRL it looks white. For embellishments I add glossy accents to cover the white parts of the dendritic momoprint) and Stampendous pearlized mica and bronze mica fragments.

The focal images were created by smooching dots of paint into larger circles in a dendrite monoprint process. I particularly like the extremely fine dendrite pattern as seen at the base of the top left circle. To add movement and connection between the circles I added a path with blue beads.

You got some really neat designs with your circle monoprint technique. I liek that the paint branches off in different directions rather than just one direction, like I got using squares and rectangles. The background is really rich and pretty! TFS!

This is so much prettier in person! It shines and sparkles! I love how the dendridic looks like undersea stuff!

Beautiful! The background is really cool, I missed the warm up challenge, I'll have to go back and try it sometime. Cool circles. It does look like a fantasy underwater scene.
